Meet the Zenfans

As we move into a digital world, I think something like this is really important. I love it and it lends to where I’m going with my business. I’m going to be giving a Zenplan to every new client and encouraging them to use it. I’m going to roll it out as something goes out to every client because I really do think people need to be able to put everything somewhere.

Zenplans helps us get a fuller picture of our clients’ personal circumstances. In preparing accounts for their businesses and personal tax returns we only get to know part of their overall financial position. However, there are many aspects we’re not privy to such as inherited assets, assets whose income is tax-free and pension pots some of which can be significant. Now, with Zenplans, we’re able to fill those gaps and, consequently, are in a much better position to give our clients the most well-informed advice.

I had envisaged wanting a closer relationship with certain long standing clients where we have more regular engagement with them. We had been using basic tools like spreadsheets and word documents, to create a basic version of Zenplans. Then I saw an advert and you seem to be doing exactly what I had been picturing.

I think it’s so important for clients to have a clear view of all their key information, not just finances. When things change, whether it’s someone developing dementia or passing away, it’s really tough emotionally for everyone involved. Having one place to easily access everything, like Zenplans, can make a huge difference.

It could also open up more conversations between clients and their families, and even with us. There’s real potential to grow our work with clients’ families. Plus, a digital platform is much more reliable than a document that could easily be lost.

Clearly you know what you’re doing. Lawyers are normally terrible at making decisions and spend a lot of time looking at everything. From the initial meeting onwards, it’s been very professional. You’ve anticipated questions and have responses to them. Clearly a lot of work has gone into this, and so it gives us confidence as we’re then going to be passing on this recommendation to our clients, so we want to know that it works and it’s well looked after and there’s a really knowledgeable and efficient team in the background. It’s worked really well so far and long may that continue.
